Album Review

Recorded at Switzerland's St. Gallen Open Air Festival in 2005, Australian outfit the John Butler Trio's second live album features 12 performances that cement their reputation as one of the world's premier jam/roots bands. Released three years after Living 2001-2002, the two-CD collection includes one track from their 1998 self-titled debut ("Ocean"), three from 2001's Three ("Pickapart," "Take," and the epic 17-minute "Betterman"), and eight from their previous LP, 2004's Sunrise Over Sea, including the singles "Zebra," "What You Want," and "Something's Gotta Give." A bonus DVD featuring ten performances and an interview is also included. ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi

It REALLY bugs me

that itunes makes the most beatiful song ever not avaliable as a single (Ocean). really frustrating

Ocean

You're right, the sample for Ocean is awful, however, the rest of Ocean is no where near like the sample (which is the intro of the song) .. the rest of Ocean is instrumental bliss, and the rest of the album is genius, so yeah, don't worry about Ocean, buy the whole thing. now

Even Better Live

This band is amazing! I've been a fan for a while and thought that all of their previous cds were phenomenal...until I heard them live! Trust me, this is one cd you don't want to pass up. I was lucky enough to see JBT live, and I must say, they do sound even better in person. This cd will make you feel like you're sitting in the front row of one of the best concerts around!
