wow, this was a great surprise
really pleased with this purchase. this live album really rocks. Charlie's raspy voice is excellent and he uses it as another instrument making the songs very gripping. They open with a couple of rocking songs, Illinois and timberline, both very good and then they rip into lost into the words, a duet that will remind you of old, rocking neil young and crazy horse jam that is absolutely amazing. i recommend buying lost in the woods, checking out the entire song and get ready to buy the album. Space ship is another absoultely rocking song. they will have you stomping your foot, bopping your head, crashing your cymbals and mellowing out to some really good country / alt as well. took some time for me to buy this but very pleased i did. i recommend checking them out. Enjoy!

Original sound in a typical genre. Not the entire country sound that you usually hear, much much better
Greatness
Charlie Shafter is straight up phenomenal. His lyrics are genius and unpredictable. His imagination lets loose verbally in an eclectic group of songs that somehow by the end just leave you wondering how someone of this talent isn't a much bigger name? Well the answer to that my friends is time: just give the young man some more tenure and he'll no doubt be considered an Americana legend by the time he's decided to leave this Earth and go where the aliens want him to! You must understand Charlie to get that statement. Josh Abbott
