YEARH!

For about 45 minutes worth of awesome music, this will definitley be your cure. Metropolis: 5/5: Incedible as always, excellent way to start of the show, transitions very nicely. A Fortune In Lies: 5/5: For someone who'd rather listen to a girlish screamer than a Fabio Lione wanabe, this is awesome! Bombay Vindaloo: 6/5: FAN-FREEKIN-TASTIC! A jam session of epic proportions that you'll only find here! Truely the highest point of the show. Surrounded: 4/5: Not bad, than again, it's not as upbeat and powerful as the rest of the songs here. Another Hand - The Killing Hand: 5/5: Awesome, the transition is sweet, and again, with James singing, this is a keeper. Pull Me Under: 5/5: Definitley another awesome song. Can't end a set of your first live show on record without this song. Always a crowd pleaser. THIS is a type of song you ALWAYS have to end a show on.

I Wish I Could Give it 6/5.

First off, I'd like to ask: What the heck, iTunes? This album came out 15 years ago, and you're just now adding it? Now that that's out of the way, let's review the actual album, shall we? This is basically a perfect live album. All of the songs are awesome, and James LaBrie's voice is the best I've ever heard it. He's much better than the studio recordings here. Bombay Vindaloo is an interesting but great addition, as it was only played once ever, and that was.. well, here! John Petrucci and Kevin Moore pull off some awesome solos, although Petrucci's tone is a little too thin. Only one complaint stands out. It's too short! The Japanese version has Another Day on it, but that's only 4 minutes longer! Why did they cut out so many songs? Who knows. However, what is here is just awesome. I can't describe it any better, you just have to listen to it. Don't pick out single songs, buy the whole thing. If you pick out single songs, you won't get Another Hand/The Killing Hand, which is arguably the most well-performed song on here. If you're even slightly a fan of DT, buy it. You won't regret it.

Another hand For Another hand the killing hand!

Ok, originally I wrote that james labrie is a great singer but i wold like to know where charlie dominici and the original album went. Now I understand. I thought my ears would bleed when i heard charlie dominci sing the original, it was torture. And the music was unbelievealbly great 2. So when i heard this version I thought it was a gift from god, Great music and the current DT singer who actually CAN sing. Although this version made me feel like my ears might bleed, but that was because he screamed so loud, because that's how he song was supposed to go when charlie sang it. Buy this album just for that song, and the other great songs, including bombay vindaloo, they hardly do jam sessions but this is friggin amazing.

The technically proficient guitar playing of John Petrucci elevated Dream Theater to the upper echelons of contemporary heavy metal. While its lineup has continuously evolved, the Long Island-based quintet has consistently delivered sharp-edged music. Dream Theater is known for its high-energy concert performances.
