Rockin' Disc
Great EP from the next coming of U2. Soaring vocals and screaming guitars surround some really beautiful melodies. Super tight for a live disc too. Best 5 bucks I've spent in a long time.
Great Energy and New Additions
This is a reminder of how good The Ruse is live. It makes me want to jump on a flight to witness their next show. "Monochrome" and "Collide" are two newer songs that I haven't heard prior to this recording. As with all of their music, these songs are clean, catchy and complete. Thanks guys. In a time when most bands cannot play live, The Ruse is a welcome surprise
I stumbled upon this band by accident, but I am glad I did. Their sound is a nice mix, there is obvious U2 influences in the sound, but The Ruse is able to stand on their own as well. They aren't just the latest U2 imitators, and they definitely have their own sound. The best thing about their sound is the polish that they have on their songs, which is especially apparent by their ability to play these songs live. I'm really surprised that I haven't heard this stuff before, it is better than a lot of music that makes it to the airwaves today. Hopefully that will change. Definitely must listen to this album and to their studio stuff.
