i would like to purchase the studio version of this song. it's only offered in a compulation album, inwhich i already own most ,if not all the of other songs. therefore i can't justify the expense of 39.99 for 4 or 5 songs. thanks you for listening. moakes0947 @hotmail.com
On the Dark Side
It's not as good as the studio version but still enjoyable. To moakes, search Eddie and the Cruisers instead of John Cafferty, and you'll find the original motion picture soundtrack for $8.99, the single for $1.29.

Arguably the quintessential one-shot band of all time, Cafferty and company (who, back in the early '70s, were simply a hack New England bar band) had their 15 minutes of fame courtesy of a ridiculously overwrought 1983 film called Eddie and the Cruisers (starring Michael Pare).
