Get This Album! Blessed Bob!

As a HUGE Bob follower it's easy to say this is a great show but the truth is the word! When I use to collect Dead bootlegs years ago this concert was passed around and of course I scooped it up like any fan would but it was an audience show that sounded like an amazing concert to be at but the clarity was poor and you were just happy to own it. Well, Jah has blessed us with the perfect clarity! You hear every word, note, and positive vibration like the way it should sound!! This reminds you of Bob's greatness as a singer and musician as well as perhaps the dream concert you would see today! Hats off to those who re-mixed it and I just cannot keep saying how perfect this album is and will forever cherish it! The best money I have spent considering I own a copy already! Bob will live forever and continue to bless i daily, Jah Bless Bob!

Lucky to be there

Not to bored with the details but due to a cool college Lit and film professor-Dr D who was married to a Jamican woman and who turned us on to 45s of reggae groups he brought back from the island-I was a Marley convert in the late 70s-Going to small college in the area-we scored tickets to the Stanley show-I still have the ticket stub-dated 9/23/1980 and attended this great concert. Even the I-Threes were good.
Little did I realize that Marley was ill nor did I know that this was his last show. Remember hearing that he collasped not too long after this show and you know the rest of the story. Have to buy, but it is the passion and soul and that drives this music as well as the need to own.

For hardcore fans only, great album

Personally my favorite live Marley release is the Live At Leeds 1973 on he Deluxe Edition of Burnin' because its quality is second to none and you can feel how raw it is.

With that said, I have had the passed around bootleg for about 10 years now and always wondered if there was a better quality version of this. Well here it is. The quality isn't great if you're going to be picky, and the last two songs sound really bad, but as a life long Marley fan, I'm so happy I can finally own the final concert ever. So glad this release happened...it was long overdue.

For marketing purposes, Bob Marley, the Wailers, and Bob Marley & the Wailers have become interchangeable names, used indiscriminately to refer to recordings actually made by separate entities. So, it is worth recalling the distinctions that existed at the times these entities performed and recorded. The Wailers, formed in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1963, was a vocal group consisting of Junior Braithwaite, Beverley Kelso, Bunny Livingston, Bob Marley, Peter McIntosh, and Cherry Smith; they were called...
