Amazing Live Jazz Album
This is possibly one of the best modern live jazz albums I have heard. Marsalis is as amazing with his trumpet skills as he is leading the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. The recording of this album also gives one a feel of being in one of those speak-easy's in the golden era of the genre. The renditions of these classic Ellington tunes is unsurpassed and it definitly feels as if the Duke himself is being channeled into these musicians as they play. A must-have for any jazz fan.
Unbelievable Live
If you get to see these guys live, DO IT. I've seen a lot of Jazz and these guys put on the best show ever. Every man in the band could be a headliner.
Wynton Marsalis!
He is amazing in concert! His renditions of Ellington are almost too good. I was on the edge of my seat for the entire preformance, and was never disappointed. I highly reccomend any of Marsalis' peices.
