Album Review

This double-live disc really shows why Judas Priest made a big mistake in not taking Rob Halford back. The album rocks out and captures the Priest magic much better than his old band's live album. Perhaps the spirit of JP lives on in this group more so than in the band being called "Judas Priest." This CD set includes a lot of old Priest gems (including "Stained Class" and "Tyrant"), quite a few tracks from the Halford album, and three studio pieces. The studio cuts range from pretty standard hard rock/metal to a killer ballad. The live cuts, for the most part, are performed quite faithfully. When changes are made to the arrangements, they really are interesting and seem to be improvements.

Outstanding!!!!

This CD is one of my favorite live performances of all time. Right up there with Kiss's Alive, Rush's Exit Stage Left and Black Sabbath's Live Evil. It's one of those CD's that stays in your car's CD player for days at a time.

The best live album of the 2000's

This is a GREAT offering of live metal, probably the best I've heard in a long time. This compilation of live tracks is enough to blow you away, start to finish. Rob's at the top of his game here; his vocals are nothing short of amazing. Metal Mike and Pat's dual guitars are awesome as well. The best live songs the Halford band has ever done has been picked out to showcase a great evening in metal; this is a must for any metal fan.

Great live Metal!

This album is loaded with the combination raw energy and vocal range that only Halford can deliver. The mix of Halford, Fight and classic Priest material equals a powerful set that shows what a great performer Rob Halford is. I only wish that Priest would include some of Halford's solo work into their live sets!

Biography

Formed: 1999

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

As the incomparable voice of thrashing beast Judas Priest, Rob Halford defined the role of the metal frontman. After his unamiable departure from the British juggernaut, Halford formed Fight with Priest drummer-come-lately Scott Travis. Fight released three powerful records, Halford straining to remain the masthead of the heavy rock movement he created. Two, a trendy electro-exercise with Trent Reznor, took two steps back on the misguided Voyeurs. Halford returned to his roots and formed a new unit,...
