Simply fantastic!
True balladeers that never fail to please! Just when I thought traditional Irish singers were saved to old records and memories here come the Makem and Spain Brothers. With their precise instrumentals and straightforward vocals you can feel the pulse of a youthful refresh in every note with a gentle nod to the past. From the wistful "When we danced in Donegal" to the rousting "MacPherson's Lament" you can be transported to any place you wish to go, land or sea. They don't just sing, they give you part of themselves in every line. I just love it, I knew that I would.
