Fantastic live album!
This album is an excellent example of what The Town Pants can do at a live show. They can get a bar full of drunk, happy people to be even happier and drink lots more Guiness just through their high-energy stage presence and modern take on classic Irish tunes. This album doesn't feature any of the original music which they produced later in their career (and hopefully will continue to produce). The release date of the album on iTunes says that it was released in 2006, but the CD was their first release and has been around since at least 1998. It is a great recording of The Town Pants and will certainly make you want drink a pint or several and sing along.
Not a bad song in the bunch
I love all of it. Especially Holy Ground and The Mermaid and Wild Rover. Well, just buy the whole thing. You won't regret it! Tons of energy to keep you awake and transport you to someplace better during boring old work.
Great CD
Great selection of good old Irish Rebel Songs. If you like the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem you will want to add this to your collection
