Where have you been all my life
I'd like to say that I'm pretty familiar with most 80/90's "hair band" metal out there. Somehow, Johnny Lima slipped through my grasp and I've never heard of him before...before this. I read a review at Sleaze Roxx and found Lima on itunes. This album rocks. Its much better than anything solo artists such as Brett Michaels, Kip Winger or (name another front man) are putty out these days. When I first saw the playlist I sampled each song and was going to pick a ew of the good ones to add. As I sampled each, I didn't hear one I didn't like. Song 1 - 12 are all great with hair band guitars and beats. Ended up buying the whole CD. Great job to JL and, btw, I posted a quick note on his website, Johnnylima.com, and he personally responded to me back.
Livin' Out Loud
I just can't get enough of Lima this kind of rock takes me back to the 80's and Lima clearly would have been huge. It's a shame not enough listeners haven't heard of this amazing and talented singer. A straight forward fun rock album from start to finish and a great buy.
Fans of Jovi and Leppard rejoice!!
My bro turned me ontp this guy, and dang a few tunes are taior made Bon Jovi rip offs in the BEST way. A few others have the big vocals of Def Leppard. Check it out every song is very meoldic and well done. This guy needed to come out in 1986...he'd be rich.
