Shaun Murphy's Time Has Come.....On Her Own..Finally!.
If you like R&B and Blues, NO ONE can begin to touch Shaun Murphy's talent as the best female blue eyed soul singer living today, in my opinion. It's quite evident in this, her premier solo album. Her rendition of Bob Dylan's "It Takes A Lot To Laugh" blows down the house! Shaun Murphy's incredible talent has been recognized by other great rock artists, who she has recorded and done stage work with, including Eric Clapton, Bob Seger, The Moody Blues, Phil Collins, Glenn Frey, Bruce Hornsby, Alice Cooper and Ted Nugent, among others. This album is one of the finest albums of it's type to come down the pike in years! It is one few albums I have heard that I literally play to death, and keep the music in my head until the brink of insanity! Hey, buy at your own risk of addiction, please. This is just my critique.

Shaun Murphy just flat-out KILLS on this collection! Good Lord what a voice! Just buy it, okay? She is and always has been the real deal, so just ante up and let her power, timing, and taste blast you into the blues space. Right screamin' on, Shaun!!!
Livin' the Blues
I purchased this cd from Itunes a while back, hoping for some good blues, and what a surprise! With no disrespect for any other female blues singer (or male!), this is as good as it gets. The best blues album by anybody I have heard in a very long time. I can't believe she is not better known, because a lot of people are misssing out. Every song on this album is worth listening to...no throw-ins. I immediately bought "Trouble with Lovin'", which was released in Oct., and eagerly await future releases. A good example of her quality would be the "Top Shaun Murphy Songs" listed when you pull up this CD. I would list different ones than ITunes listed. They are all worth a listen! Absolutel worth adding to any blues collection.
