Album Review

Lo-Pro formulates an expansive and powerful sound on its self-titled debut by fusing the appeal of million-selling groups like Puddle of Mudd and Staind. Signed by the latter to their 413 imprint, and consisting of Ultraspank, Godsmack, and Snot veterans, the band's experience shows on this Don Gilmore-produced set. Neil Godfrey and Pete Ricci's crunchy guitar lines lay the groundwork for Pete Murray's swooning choruses on the airwave-ready "Fuel" and the forceful "Not Me." Though the quintet gets a bit formulaic on the brutish and anonymous "1Day," its able musicianship, coupled with Murray's phenomenal range — which rivals Filter's Richard Patrick and is most impressive on the near-ballad "Reach" —nevertheless scores Lo-Pro high marks. ~ John D. An Unbeatable Combination

Three words for this exceptional album. Good. Clean. Rock. Lo-Pro demonstrates emotion, heart and soul without missing a beat. Songs like Thread, Oblivion and Ignition will pound through your veins with extremely relative lyrics. Others like Not Me, 1Day and Fake pack an adrenaline puch within the beat so strong that it's a wonder that these guys haven't made the big times yet. However, the most enjoyable contribution that this album makes to rock fans alike is its clean, crisp lack of over-doing it. You know what I mean. It's got absolutely no crazy guitar solos, excessive bass, screaming, swearing, ect... It's clean. It's got soul. It's got emotion. It's Rock baby! Ladies and Gents, welcome Lo-Pro to the music industry.

Great sound

I really like the sound these guys have. A large part of the album is hard rock, but has beautiful undertones that make the melody candy for the ears. I highly recommend buying the whole album and I can't wait until they release their sophomore album.

somebody sign Lo Pro!

Lo Pro is such a unique sound, with the long chorus notes and hard rock, both vocals and instrumentation is incredible. I was a listener of ultraspank and Lo Pro is even better. Fake is def my favorite track. I had this album since it came out and still listen to it, but these guys really need to get another album out!
