Not your typical ballads!
This album is definitely on the weird side, though I only say that because it's classified here on iTunes as "pop." Alu's lyrics are full of fairies, other worlds, and not-your-average characters, like casket salesmen. The musicianship is superb, and this album is full of interesting instrumentation and wonderful, catchy melodies. Her voice is bright and striking: if you like Loreena McKennitt and/or Tori Amos, you should like Alu. I heard her perform on Echoes, late last night, on our local affiliate, WXPN, and purchased this album first thing this morning. If you like ambient and/or world music, this should appeal to you.
Hauntingly beautiful music!
I discovered Alu through the Echoes Radio show and could not wait to buy her songs. From the beautifully dark Luna to the crazy upbeat and deranged Casket Salesman, this music is food for the ears and a lot of fun. Also, Alu’s voice is a joy to listen to. Definitely give her a try!

I love love love love love love love love love love love love LOVE Alu! Her first album -Informercial gasmask- was the effing bomb but this one rivals its proceeder. im glad i got it on iTunes cuz i cant find it ANYWHERE. Plus now this album wont get all scratched up from listening to it so much. ={D Im uber excited! YAY Alu!
