Rinsethealgorithm
This CD is not for everyone. If you like pop or hip hop,run screaming. This band is fronted by the bass player from Dapp Theory. The music is thick and complex, just like i like it! These guys are musicians,(wow,what a concept!). It's always great to hear musicians playing from the heart.On the down side, the band seems as though they're reading charts on some of the songs. Very dry. The horn player and drummer are forgetable. The sax player is good but his sound is very dry, again like he's reading this stuff for the first time. Maybe it's the way they recorded him. The bass player is the only "standout" musician on this cd besides the vocalist. If you like jazz, you will find this enjoyable. Thier website touts the band as a cross between Weather Report and Return to Forever!! Not today son.Thats wishful thinking and ad hype. They do not echo W/R and are no where near RTF. Not even in the ballpark.This band has it's own legs to stand on and stand they do. Of course this is just my opinion. It's still worth your money!
DappRinsethealigorithm
This cat is a my kind of Bass Player, he takes what he was doing with Dapp Theory to the Rinsethealigorithm. If you are looking for something with a old school jazz fusion stank this is it.
