Album Review
After turning some heads with his debut, Billy Squier truly arrived with 1981's Don't Say No, which kicks off in spectacular fashion with the triple opening salvo of "In the Dark," "The Stroke," and "My Kinda Lover" — all of which become staples at rock radio. The album is a near-perfect example of early-'80s melodic hard rock, and even less enduring (but hardly inferior rockers) such as "You Know What I Like" and "Lonely Is the Night" keep up the intensity. And Squier also finds time for the occasional ballad, like the disarmingly gentle "Nobody Knows." Completists may want to review his mid-'90s double-disc anthology, but as far as studio albums are concerned, Don't Say No is undoubtedly his best.

Classic album from an underrated artist
by GrooveboyThis should be part hard rock 101 for all the younger rockers out there. This is powerful stuff regardless of the decade it was made. True classic hits with all the flash and sexuality that made rock so cool. The man's voice just kills me! It's no wonder he's now playing with a Beatle.. Could this be one the greatest album's of the 80s??....DON"T SAY NO!
Great Album in Any Decade
by KISS Fan '96This is Billy's most known album, highest selling album and it's great, NOT ONE SONG OF FILLER. I saw him open for Styx in 2001 and he played about 6 or 7 songs off this album with Everybody Wants You and Rock Me Tonite added into the set. This LP is a true classic. That being said is Emotions in Motion is album is almost as good, hopefully someday his whole collection will be on iTunes. His songs sound better when included with the album they came from.
Early Metal Defined
by lie2meMy roommate played this so much I never need to buy the album. Classic early metal music that should not be overlooked.
