Incredible
This is Rosenthal's best and most complete work to date. It offere a full band approach and several different musical styles. His songwriting continues to mature with his honest and thought provoking lyrics. GET IT!
Real
If you're looking for an artist who knows who he is, Josh Rosenthal is for you. Not only does he know who he is, but he knows what he wants to say and to whom he wants to say it.
So who is he? An honest soul, searching for the same thing we all are searching for: authentic relationships. He is an artist to the core, and his desire to create has driven him to ask questions that take a lifetime to answer. Therefore, his sound is always changing, not in a fickle, "I don't know who I am" kind of way, but in a "there is always another stone to be turned over" kind of way. He knows that music is like life, always changing and always mysterious. His voice is one of the best I've heard. Add that to his guitar playing ability and his fantastic songwriting and you've got something worth listening to again and again.
What does he want to say? Bottom line... we need each other. Josh's "Villages Suite" is a fresh way of telling a story that we all know to be true. No matter what we've bought, made, or accomplished, in the end, relationships are the only things that last.
To whom does he want to say it? To anyone who will listen. Josh's music is appropriate for any demographic. I've left a concert of Josh's hearing high school students rave about his guitar playing ability, then 5 minutes later hearing grandparents well into their 60's discuss how meaningful his lyrics are. If you've got an ear to lend, Josh has something to say to you.

It is crazy that he released 4 albums in 4 months! I like that he used his live band to record on the album... Check out his other albums too!
