'Long Days' would sound great pressed on vinyl
I used to follow Decker's last band, A Vacant Night Sky, when I lived in Arizona. This new project is not quite so rock'n'roll, a little darker, a little more subtle. It feels like, with this effort, he's taken a step back in terms of complexity and showiness, and traded in some extroversion for a more earnest energy. It works. I find it somewhere at the intersection of early 1990's grunge / indie rock and an acoustic melancholy thats all his own. A great record.

Short and a bit lo-fi but it feels good. true and gritty.
Long Days in the making.
This album has been in steady rotation in the house for months, and i hear something new every time. Decker and Friends play every thursday at the Olde Sedona Bar and Grill, and each lineup brings an added flavor to these compelling and solid tracks.
For a song to stand up to time and scrutiny, it must be able to be conveyed by the simplest means, i.e. an acoustic guitar and a voice. While there is much more going on in these songs, all of these songs were written in that fashion, and it has made for a very honest and introspective album.
