Album Review

Like everything involved with Lost’s sixth season, its soundtrack is king-sized. Lost: The Final Season is a generous two-disc set of Michael Giacchino's music for the series, which, as always, did a remarkable job of capturing moods, enhancing the characters, and even providing a musical personality for the island. Even without visuals, “A Sunken Feeling”'s brass and pounding rhythm conjures the twists revealed at the beginning of the season, tracks like “Recon” and “World’s Worst Car Wash” evoke its tense action scenes, and “A Memorable Kiss” and “Moving On” are effortlessly emotional. Giacchino also revisits some of his most distinctive themes, updating some of them in ways that reflect the last season’s parallel universe: “LAX” presents one of the most moving versions of the “Live Together, Die Alone” theme since season one, while “Locke at It This Way” is the frailest rendition of John Locke’s usually majestic motif. Meanwhile, the mysterious melody associated with Jacob and the island gets stronger and more elaborate as it repeats on “Doing Jacob’s Work,” “The Lighthouse,” and “Jacob’s Advocate.” Another reminder of why Giacchino is one of the finest composers working in film and television, Lost: The Final Season will be a welcome constant for fans who want the complete Lost experience.

Amazing

Just read what the other reviewers are saying, and BUY this extraordinary album. LOST will always be in my heart, even years from now, and this album will help keep it there. Forget Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, THIS album contains true talent.

Incredible and Emotionally Satisfying

"Where words fail, music prevails" The music of lost over the six years has done just that and the final season's score is no exception. As an aspiring screenwriter / director, Lost has influenced me to no end an whenever I write, putting this music on takes me to another dimension. I can listen to "Moving On" everyday and still cry. Thank you Lost, Thank you Giacchino.... We will never let go.

Finally!!!

I am a massive fan of the series, and I am also a huge fan of soundtracks... Now it is bittersweet with this final soundtrack... I am still wishing for a complete collection soundtrack box set... Anywho, Michael Giacchino knows his stuff. And LOST would not have been LOST without him... And apparently neither would have been "Up"(He nabbed an academy award for that) All I can say is... Buy it already...
