Steampunk Geek Goodness

Listening to this album was like getting lost reading a book by China Mieville or Neil Gaiman. I was transported to a wickedly fun world where airship pirates roam the sky, fallen angels are made from clockworks, and love is something that continues beyond the grave. Fantastic music and vocal performances that make you feel like Alice, stepping through a looking glass.

Holy Sh*t!!

I'm a musician/artist and haven't heard anything like this....ever. Part Jules Verne, part Orchestral, part industrial, part ethereal soundtrack, part Cirque De Soliel and Teatro Zinzanni...The end result is something totally breathtaking!! Robert and his crew are the most artistic visionaries that music has seen for a long, long time. I'm floored and stunned. Like everyone else that listens to them...addicted. Wow!!

Simply amazing.

Abney Park evolves by leaps and bounds with each album. This album is no exception, and sounds much more polished than the previous releases, but still has a gritty edge. This album once again proves they are not afraid to strike out into musical territory that may not be popular on the "alternative" stations. Abney Park is beautiful, haunting, and memorable, and this release drives that point home once again.
