Loud Is the Night is the debut release from Hacienda, a Texas- based guitar/bass/drums/keyboards quartet that formed in 2006. The band, which is made up of three brothers and a cousin, is a refreshing blend of sweet harmonies, soulful vocals, and seriously catchy melodies. Co-produced by Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys along with Dr. Dog, Hacienda shares the Keys’ stripped-down ethic and devotion to sincerity rather than studio polish. Led by a pair of stand-out singles (“She’s Got a Hold On Me,” “Shake Ya”), the album is packed with brief, sharply crafted songs that are pleasantly reminiscent of mid-‘60s Beach Boys and similar pop groups of that era. That said, Hacienda wears its influences lightly enough to let the band’s own sound shine through on the strength of its outstanding musicianship — the keyboards add much to the overall sound, the rhythm section is excellent, and there’s a lot of fine Telecaster work. Loud Is the Night is a solid debut from a band to watch.

Great is the Album!

First of all I would like to point out that Dante, the guitarist, is my cousin. Now that that's taken care of, this album is amazing. It starts of rockin and ends nice and easy. Every song is a must hear. I dare you to listen to these songs and not download any. Great remake of Sunny's "Baby Don't Go". p.s. those other "Hacienda" cds are by a different band.

This is a great album but you have to take a look at the Video of the song "she's got a hold on me". It was truely great work done on the video. It's like looking into the eyes of the beatles.

Hacienda will make you feel good! Comprised of 3 brothers and 1 cousin, they are true sun-soaked, harmonizing, pop-soul movers! The songs range from uptempo rockers (think the best of stax and creedence), country soul serenades (think everly bros.), and heartfelt love songs (think the band and the beach boys) all with a uniquely texas twist. This is the best summer record to come out in ages! Buy it!!!!
