Fantastic!
These two songs are great! While the horns on Louisiana is a new touch and took a couple listens to get use to, I highly recommend these and every other Walkmen song. I saw them live from on stage at Austin City Limits 2005 and can't wait to see them again in Portland, OR June 8! Get these two new tracks. You won't be disappointed!
hundred miles on
these two songs indicate some amazing new work by the walkmen. "louisiana" brings some rich sounds with blaring trumpets and amazing lyrics. "another one goes by" has a cabaret-feel which solidifies the walkmen's place in indie rock. do yourself a favor and get these songs.
It's about time!
I can't wait for this new album. If these two tracks are any indication, we're in for quite a treat. Both tracks take me back to the first time I heard Bows & Arrows. Real good stuff!
