AFI have always amazed me. "Love Like Winter" is upbeat and catchy, with an 80's pop/electronic feel to it. At the same time, it evokes a strong feeling of cold and isolation. The video, too, is quite enjoyable. Check out some more AFI if you like, their landmark "Sing the Sorrow" cannot be missed, and delve even further into their hardcore roots if you can. You won't be disappointed.
I wish there was more...
Most devout fans of AFI probably already had ordered or bought their live DVD titled 'I Heard A Voice" (from which this clip comes) - so the only reason most devout fans would get this is to put it on a video iPod. The sad thing about this 'EP' is that it does not also come with this song on audio only format. That would probably have been the only 'perk' to this 'EP' because this is most definately not worht titling it as an Extended Play as it only has one video and nothing else.... It's a great clip of a great band giving a great preformance, it's just not worth it...
LOVE LIKE AFI
I absolutley adore this song! DECEMBERUNDERGROUND is a VERY well written album! But, I have to admitt, not as well as Sing the Sorrow...but by very little! :D I am a fan of their old stuff as well, but you shouldn't hate...I say they're getting better! Just look at this song (: YEAH! iTunes finally got "I Heard a Voice" album, but can we have the videos too??? :) ROCK ON AFI! PS. Davey, Davey, Davey...PLEEEEEEASSE never ever, ever, ever wear PINK EYE SHADOW!! Or ANY kind of make-up! You look hot w/ out it! I really love your new look for Blaqk Audio! <33 Blaqk Ink Style!!! And Jade, too!
