Ricky Warwick does it again!

This stop gap EP between Ricky Warwick's second and third full length release finds the singer-song-writer in top form. Ricky's voice can be rough like a double shot of bourbon, or smooth like a worn in baseball glove. Somehow his tone is safe and soothing, like your grandfather telling you stories that you'll remember forever. His lyrics are torn from the pages of everyone's diary: personal thoughts of love, regret, and redemption. Similar to his first two releases (Tattoos & Alibis and Love Many Trust Few), the five songs here are primarily acoustic based, and are filled out nicely by harmonica, mandolin, and full band accompaniment. Ricky's no newcomer. He's been song-writing, recording, touring, and pouring his soul in verse for decades now (look it up). In "Hell Or Highwater" when he sings "...distance don't matter, it's the first step that counts..." you know he means it. Elsewhere, "I Can See My Life (From Here)" just may be the finest song he's ever written, and "Ghost Town Road" has the sensibility and familiarity of small town life that just about anyone can relate to. In the tradition of storytellers like Steve Earle, Springsteen, and Cash, Ricky Warwick is an artist whose music cuts, burns, and touches your heart. He's a jewel among the rocks of popular music, and defies category. "Love Owes" is a terrific introduction to the artist for the uninitiated, and a great tie-over for his fans until he drops a new release.

After a lengthy stint with several successful records in the '80s and '90s, the group disbanded in 2001. Shortly thereafter, Warwick teamed up with Def Leppard lead singer Joe Elliott to record and produce his solo debut, Tattoos & Alibis, in early 2003 for the Sanctuary...
