The best, most focused, Murs album in years!!
Very tight, very focused, on point lyrics. Outstanding production. It feels like SKIBEATZ' instrumentals brought life to a Murs that was getting slightly repetitive and stale. Don't get me wrong, Murs is one of the all time best, but his last few albums, while they weren't terrible, just didn't live up to the high standards he set for himself with his earlier efforts. If 11 years ago in 2000 you asked yourself what a Murs album would sound like 2011, "Love and Rockets" would be pretty close to what you'd imagine. The backdrop is a mix of laid back, groovy rhythms (mixed with a couple bangers) that all have a very modern sound to them and the forefront is that straight up, witty, easy to listen to, vintage Murs flow. It's a good mix of old and new and it blends beautifully on this record. 5 stars hands down. Can't wait to hear Vol. 2!!!

Very good album for someone who I really didn't have interest in but can ride to this ez.. Great beats and flow with hood story that we can really to with understanding. Murs thumbs up must buy album now.
