iTunes Review

Making the transition from teen pop star to mature artist can be difficult — just ask Tiffany, Jessica Andrews or Lila McCann. Judging by Fearless, Taylor Swift is making the shift with commendable grace. Unlike other adolescent hit-makers, she laid the groundwork for her creative growth by asserting her songwriting skills early. As a result, Fearless’ tunes (all written or co-written by Swift) have far more sparkle and substance than most country/pop offerings these days. The songs here have the authentic ring of teenage angst and delight, with the emphasis on the travails of young love. Backed by chiming guitars and a buoyant pop backbeat, Swift sails through “Fearless,” “Hey Stephen,” and “You Belong With Me” with seeming boundless joy. Her happy moments are made all the more believable by such thoughtful tunes as “Fifteen” (a knowing glance back at high school) and “White Horse” (a snapshot of lost innocence). Swift is equally capable of tender invocations of childhood (“The Best Day”) and bittersweet breakup songs (“Breathe”). She's more than beaten the sophomore jinx with this outstanding release. If Fearless is any indication, fans will be following her musical evolution for years to come.

I may love Hair Metal, but there's something about Taylor you just have to love. First of all, she is an AMAZING songwriter. Fearless is one of those albums you have to hear front to back, or else it's not the same.

"Fearless"- 10/10 - A good way to start an album is with the title of the album as a song. It has a great vibe to it.
"Fifteen" - 10/10 - Great song about nerveousness on the first day of school.
"Love Story" - 10/10 - A perfect spin on the classic Romeo and Juliet, but in the end, they actually get to be with each other. I know all of the words by heart, lol.
"Hey Stephen" - 9/10 - Not as strong as the last three, but a great track, none-the-less.
"White Horse" - 10/10 - A great song about realizing everything isn't how we want it to be. The Country-Female "You Can't Always Get What You Want"
"You Belong With Me" - 10/10 - OMG, this has to be one of the most overrated songs off he album, but it kicks @*$. Her True Anthem for girls of all ages. *Interupted* Yo SpaceFrehley! I'm Really happy for you, but Forever & Always is the best song on the album. I know, Kanye, I'm getting to that.
"Breathe" - 8/10 - a little Meh, but still good.
"Tell Me Why" - 9/10 - Great Song, but the best is saved for last.
"You're Not Sorry" - 9/10 - Not My Favorite, but good.
"The Way I Loved You" - 8/10 - Good Writing. Catchy.
"Forever & Always" - 11/10 - Easily one of my top five favorite songs. Written about Joe Jonas (I hate him, and his idiot brothers too) who broke up with her over the phone. Great Guitar Solo, and even a part that sounds a bit like a section of The Legendary Ace Frehley's "A Little Below the Angels" THE highlight of the album.
"The Best Day" - 9/10 - Written about her mom. Very Sweet.
"Change" - 10/10 - Has a bit of a rock vibe. some of Taylor's Heavyest music-wise.

All-in-all, a great album. Can't wait to see her in Band Hero
