I Miss Bryan Duncan

Where did Bryan Duncan go? In my mind, he was the greatest contemporary Christian artist of the late 80's and early 90's. His music could be called "Blue-eyed Christian soul". I don't know of an artist who combined such dynamic lyrics with such a powerful delivery. Listen to "We All Need" and "Love You With My Life". You'll not be disappointed.

Sweet

Bryan Duncan has one of the smoothest voices around and is also an awesome songwriter. If you want some easy listening to unwind with this is your CD.

Great voice, great lyrics, great songs

Bryan Duncan has made a career of delivering awesome messages contained in great songs and delivered by an awesome voice. This guy delivers the stuff that you'll take anyplace from a quiet time to a commute to work to live worship services. He seems to bring music that almost makes you, no, forces you to contemplate. The mood and message of his songs serve as terrific pipelines to the kingdom of God. My favorites are "A Heart Like Mine" (one of my top five faves of all time), "Love You With My Life," and the harmonies (with Krystal Lewis) on "One Voice." If you collect the classics of Christian music, you need to include this album. It is really that good.

He had formed the Sweet Comfort Band in the early '70s and recorded half a dozen LPs with the band, but after the trio agreed to split in 1984, he released his debut solo album Have Yourself Committed just one year later....
