LOVELAND

This 1997 release are a collection of ballads from former frontman of Blue Murder as well as guitarist from whitesnake. Tracks like Til the Day I Die, Didn't We Say, Hold the Line and I'll be Waiting are masterpeices with a powerful melodic sound. For those who enjoy the ballads Loveland is for you!

A bit of a departure, but great nonetheless.

This album is not what you would have expected from John Sykes. His guitar work is pretty legendary, from The Tigers of Pan Tang, to Thin Lizzy, to Whitesnake, and Blue Murder, he is one amazing axe-man. But...ballads? If you have a romantic side, or just want to get with the ladies, play some of these songs. It may work for you.

Famous Producer

O.k... This came out in 1997 and I just got around to listening it after seeing John Sykes on "That Metal Show." I'm so glad I came across this! I've always been a big fan of his guitar playing AND vocals and I just love this album; every song! It's slow like the title indicates, but it's melodic, the guitars are awesome and his vocals are great. He's always been one of those "in the shadows" of rock and roll kind of guys, but he should really be out front; I'm surprised this hasn't caught on over the years, but as long as I've got it now, that's all I care about. It's great date music!
