Album Review
This "two-fer" from the Amore Phonics label includes albums two and three from colorful husband-and-wife indie rockers Viva Voce. Both Lovers, Lead the Way! and The Heat Can Melt Your Brain have been out of print for some time, so newbies to the duo's sugary, Elephant 6-style indie pop will revel in the discovery, while longtime fans can rejoice in the fact that the collection is stocked with copious amounts of demos, remixes, and previously unreleased material.

I would have given it 5 stars, but...
iTunes doesn't include the 8 bonus tracks (which include a few radio performances, unreleased demos, and a remix), so I suggest getting the album (which includes 2 CDs- Lovers, Lead the Way on one, and The Heat Can Melt Your Brain + Bonus Tracks on the other) from somewhere else. It's overall a great album, though. Viva Voce is amazing live, I saw them at a Jimmy Eat World concert, and I was blown away. It's nice seeing a band with real talent; I think I may enjoy them live more than on record, but I'd still suggest checking it out if you're into mellow-but-not-too-mellow music.

Double Delight
Saw Viva Voce when The Shins came to town. Liked it - a lot. Bought "Get Yr Blood Sucked Out" which has many great songs. This double disc is even better. The use of male and female vocals throughout is amazing. Great tempos, instruments, and sounds. Too good to be played on FM radio. This double album is a wonderful journey to listen through.
