Ed Banger Gem.
Dj Mehdi was one of the first artists I heard off ed banger back when the video for I am somebody came out. This Album combines hard hitting hip-hop beats with funky urban backstreet vibes but somehow remains mysterious and melodic the entire ride. After listening to this album many times it still sounds fresh extremely relevant annd inspirational to all aspiring hip-hop and electro-funk producers. Its awesome enjoy!

Known for his affiliation with fashionable French electro label Ed Banger Records, DJ Mehdi was a producer/remixer of hip-hop and electronic dance music yet is first and foremost remembered as a DJ. Born Mehdi Favéris-Essadi in 1977 in the French commune of Gennevilliers (i.e., a northwest suburb of Paris) of Tunisian descent, he grew interested in hip-hop after discovering Public Enemy in the late '80s.
