Album Review
Each release in the Rockabye Baby! series takes the best-known songs of a particular artist and places them in a lullaby processor that involves chimes, bells, and vibraphones — renditions that are slightly more involved than the music that comes out of the average baby mobile. Whether the original versions are heavy and aggressive or light and subdued, these lullaby versions are uniformly appropriate for their purpose. And, in some cases, they even happen to tease out an unlikely amount of melodicism not apparent in the originals. The Cure volume features versions of "Boys Don't Cry," "In Between Days," "Close to Me," "Friday I'm in Love," and "Just Like Heaven."

Fantastic!
I have most of the Rockabye Baby series, and while they are all amusing in their own way, a lot of the songs just don't make good lullabies. But the concept is great, whether you actually play these in the nursery for your baby or buy them for yourself. I was very surprised at how pleasant the songs in The Cure collection sounded as lullabies. They all translate very well and are very soothing. Renditions of The Cure is my favorite album out of the series, and I often listen to it while falling asleep. Even if you aren't a big Cure fan or you aren't familiar with a lot of their music, you will like this collection--definitely give it a listen!

What a genius idea! I'm glad they picked the Cure out of all the endless possiblilities to choose from. Some of these I wouldn't have expected, as they are not all the most popular songs from The Cure's library, but the ones they chose do go well to baby music...I'm not sure songs like 'Fascination Street' would have sounded as soothing! Just picked up the Pink Floyd one, and probably will get The Eagles, too. I must say though, that Tool is probably one of my favorite bands, but even the watered down Rockabye Baby version of that one is just a little to dark for our little one. I'll wait until Kindergarten to introduce him to that music!! Meanwhile, how about a David Gray version? Kudos, fellas! Great job on introducing our baby to the music we love!

Oh my goodness gracious! These are amazing! I can't belive I never thought of this! I wish I would have known about these before. My little sister would have adored these...it's way better than "It's Nemo's Bithday".
