Album Review
Never mind the band's first incarnation at the turn of the millennium; in the seven years since their debut, this new Luna Halo has turned from post-Radiohead alternative to revivalist new wave in the vein of Interpol, Franz Ferdinand, and the Killers. Frontman Nathan Barlowe fits the bill well, dealing out fierce, catchy, post-punk songs without the bombast. For the most part, this new sound works, particularly when the band is at its most urgent on tracks like "Untouchable" and "I'm Alright." Barlowe writes from a faith-based perspective but hardly wears it on his sleeve, leaving the meaning open to interpretation. This is a catchy rock record with an authentic indie punch, guaranteed to please fans of the "newest" new wave.

Good Stuff
Good stuff so far, I really enjoy this one. Of course, if one were to but only one track, "Kings and Queens" would be the obvious choice. But other songs are very good. I am also a fan of "Medicate" and "On Your Side." Overall I think this is a great album, a great buy. Sounds a lot like Anberlin; it has a good pace throughout.
MORE LUNA!!
If you bough the Luna Halo's Tour album and you just cant get enough of straight up rock n roll, than you need to buy this album. This band has something that most bands right now don't have - MELODY. The songs are guitar driven but the vocals, due to the wide range, stick out and stays in your head. The lyrics are good. "Untouchable" and "I'm Alright" are songs that scream words that we all screamed before (my favorites). "On Your side", "Medicate" and "Falling Down" are your 'feel good/relationship/upset' songs. Not sure what he communicates in some of the other tunes, (only had it for a day) but i find beauty in all the poetry. BUY IT!
Luna Halo has finally landed!!!!
The album is un-frickin'-believable! It almost captures the energy and excitement of their live shows. I was hoping for a ballad, but I guess you can't have everything. If you have an opportunity to watch one of their shows, definitely GO! Luna Halo, I love you guys! The Barlowe Bros. are awesome.
