Album Review

With its relentless but danceable industrial beat and death metal guitars, "Lunchbox" was one of the standouts on Marilyn Manson's debut album, Portrait of an American Family. For its single, "Lunchbox" was paired with a cover of Gary Numan's "Down in the Park" and four reworked versions of the title track — "Next M**********r," "Brown Bag," "Metal," and "Lunchbox (Highschool Drop-Outs)." Apart from the latter, which is a radio edit of "Lunchbox," the remixes are fairly intriguing, but the single remains of interest primarily to hardcore Manson collectors, not casual fans.

Customer Reviews

The best single MM hads released

Apart from (most likely) the new single coming out from MM's new album, Eat Me, Drink me, This is by far the best single he's released. Lunchbox, apart form Dope Hat and Dogma, was my favourite Portrait song. But the reason I bought this was because of 'Down in the Park'. I think that DITP was the greatest cover he has ever done, it is one of my favourite MM songs aswell. Whilst the remixes are all pretty average, this cover really makes the single. Only get if you enjoyed Portrait/ Smells Like Children.

Though widely dismissed by critics, his brand of metal nevertheless...
