High energy music you'll want to hear again
Great album full of memorable tunes flawlessly executed by four amazing musicians and just begging to be turned up loud any time of day. Themes range from the universal ("Luvolution", "C'Mon") to the personal ("Be Myself", "Grateful") to soaring love songs ("All For You", "Make Believe") to the cosmic ("Written in the Stars", "The Stone").
"Virtual Life" is a wild ride that pokes fun at the concept of rock star as deity ("I'm in your subconscious, live on the air, Up on the big screen down in Times Square, Guitars made of diamonds, my song's in your mind, Vacation on islands and sleep all the time.") Listen to "Luvolution" all the way through and you'll catch little hints of classic rock influences like The Beatles, Rush, Led Zeppelin, The Cars, Journey, and even a touch of The Grateful Dead. But make no mistake--Luvplanet is a true original.
The only thing better than Luvolution is actually seeing Luvplanet perform these tunes live.
