The best beatsmith in all of the Hip-Hop Kingdom!

A must have album for any underground rapper putting together a mixtape, RJD2's instrumentals are just about the only one's (other than DJ Toomp's) that I'd listen to with no words! If you doubt me here "Disconnected", "All For U" or "Fire" all of which are classic beats. Personally Acey sounds best over them and no novice (or mainstream) rapper can knock that combonation, the most under-appreciated rapper in hip-hop and the most under-appreciated producer in hip-hop join together to make one of the best (yet under-appreciated) albums in hip-hop. Next time you go to the record shop and our deciding between this and G-Unit's newest toy soldier's Mobb Deep's new album cop this, and here what a real master of his craft can do. (Sorry about the M-O-B-B stab.) Acey & RJ all day every day!

Great...although instrumental.

Some of the finest by Rjd2, though some songs border on the tedious as they are essentially instrumental loops. Don't be discouraged - songs like "Here & Now" and "Supahero" stand on their own; good stuff!

Speechless

If you enjoy laid back, old school funk, mixed with a twist of new school space age-ism RJD2 is the artist for YOU!! His music is a well balanced ambient ensemble with complimentary drum breaks, kicks, and snares. Although, this isn’t his best album (The Horror 1 is my favorite) it’s still something you’ll listen to from the beginning to the END!! I also recommend purchasing the Aceyalone & RDJ2 Magnificent City…Aceyalone’s quick witted deliverance and conscious lyrics is HUGE PLUS over these Medleys.

Born Ramble John Krohn in Eugene, OR, on May 27, 1976, he moved to Columbus, OH, a few years later and was raised there. He first busted out onto the hip-hop scene in 1998 — a time when producers were emerging from the shadows to seize the spotlight — as the DJ/producer for the Columbus-based group Megahertz....
