Great Music, Great People
Tim and his bandmates are amazing! We were somehow able to get them to play their Art Blakey Tribute set at our wedding last summer and they rocked the house! Even guests who were not initially "jazz fans" ended up being one by the end of the night. This album follows in Tim's great music adventures! Jazz Lives!

Was at this show - they've done a great job capturing the live energy in the finished product. "Long Walk" my favorite.
Amazing, I'm speechless.
I took lessons from Tim for a few months and truly learned the most in that period of time than I ever have. Cafe Gitmo is easily my favorite tune on this album. To me, the bass steers this song throughout. A heavy 4/4 at about 1:30 forces you to bop your head with the jam. The transitions and various other tasty sections keep you piecing through the song internally. The solos are filled with original lines and savory harmonies. A great track, I’m almost speechless. The piano interlude into Waltz for Caroline is so delicate. The open minor piano introduction with a beautifully swung bass part develops into an immaculate classic swing ballad feel. The little trills and ornaments make this song such a delight to listen to. Overall, I’d rank this bad boy (or girl?) number 2 on the album. Long Walk finishes off my top three with its complex meter and glistening percussive additives. The melody essentially pulls the chord changes around with it. The alto sax solo around 1:38 grabs the trumpets and other winds into the mix, a tornado of beautiful colors and chords. At a lengthy 11:00+, Long Walk is anything but a bore. I only elaborated on 3 tracks, but honestly, it’s all worth sitting down and listening to. Thanks for everything Tim and co.!
