Maestro Gergiev here strikes at his best, Mahler's Fifth. Energetic, eloquent and sublime, simply the finest classical release of the new year.

One of the finest pieces of music written in the 20th century
Excellent Performance
Gergiev and the London Symphony have managed to bottle all the excitement and energy of this marvelous symphony! The LSO horns do not disappoint for any of the chorals, and Gergiev gives us a masterful performance. Top recommendation.
