Apparently people are sleeping. No reviews...wtf? Yo hands down, IBI is one of the top artists in Maine. A fresh emcee with strong content, good song writing and he's a top notch performer. He also does his thing making beats and laying down cuts on the turntables. Did I mention he sings too? This man is a beast.

As far as this album, it's really good. IBI comes up with a creative blend of songs that mix content, style, and a dash of humor that invites us in for a listen and gives us a full perspective of who this man is. In other words, he comes correct. On the other end, you have Shupe, who produced the entire record. There's a lot to be said about producers who can hold down an entire project for one emcee and give him all the flavor he need to showcase his many talents. On MAiDEn Voyage, Shupe does just that, which allows us to get a really good feel for IBI as an emcee. It provides him with a consistent sound. Shupe is one of the best around on a beat machine. His knowledge of the music, the process, and the equipment shines thru here.

MAiDEn Voyage is a testament of the hard work and dedication these two have for this music. I love seeing an emcee and producer come together to make a rock solid record. We need more of this! I'm looking forward to the next IBI album which I believe will also be entirely produced by Shupe. And why not? They make a great team together.
