Lost treasures...
A funky collection of tracks, most of which were recorded in '91 but never before released 'til now... One tune, 'Take Me 2 Your Leader,' was co-written by Prince, and is as trippy and danceable as one could want. Also included are the three original mixes of 'Simon Simon,' Dale's hit dance single from 1988's LP 'Riot in English,' now available online for the first time. Other standouts include 'Mr. Slick' (Dale's voice is in fine form here), and 'Crazy,' co-written by Richie Havens' guitarist Greg Chansky -- the song is an ode to Dale's tumultuous but lifelong friendship with fellow Missing Person Warren Cuccurullo. All told, an album of little gems for fans of Dale Bozzio to treasure. 'Make Love Not War' is the best collectible Dale Bozzio fans could want...
Great and Unique!
I almost had a heart attack when I saw this album come up during a random search. I have been a huge fan of Dale Bozzio since the early eighties thanks to the brilliant music of Missing Persons. This collection obviously is compiled mostly of songs from the nineties. A few songs sound like they could have been on her one and only solo album, 'Riot In English'. Although I would have loved for this to be a disc of completely new material, I will settle for hearing that beautiful and unique voice on songs I had not heard before. A great way to introduce yourself to the greatness of Dale, if you don't already know. Thank you Electrik Blue Records.
Magnificent!
An amazing collection of music! Dale has never disappointed. MP shudda hit it bigger back then. My favorite band, and now my favorite artist. MUST HAVE:-Simon Simon, Crazy, Take Me To Ur Leader!
