Customer Reviews

This is not CIRRUS

Just wanted to respond to anyone who has confused this band with the original band CIRRUS comprised of Aaron Carter & Steve Barry. We released Drop the Break, Back on a Mission & Counterfeit on Moonshine Records. Not sure who this is but we will be looking into legal ramifications. OMG THIS IS SO NOT US. Please do not confuse. We put a lot of work into CIRRUS over the las 15 years and it's sad to see someone steel our name and have our supporters get confused. Sincerely, CIRRUS

Cirrus - World music, NOT Aaron Carter

Nawel Ben Kraiem, a Tunisian artist is the singer for the band Cirrus. Composed of Alexandre Hetzel and Rémi Laurent on guitar and on bouzouki, Maeva Tur on violin and Sébastien Dousset on djembé and on darbouka, they won the "Monte Carlo Doualiya Music Award" (RFI) in 2008 and performed in Alexandria in front of an adoring crowd. On "Mama please," the voice of Cirrus, Nawal Ben Kraiem, sings in English, French and in Arabic. The drum beats of the darbouka, strings, soft harmonies and melodies from around the world are the irresistable ingredients of the powerfully mysterious oriental chant of the band.

Hailed in 1997 as the new Prodigy — mostly by their record label — Cirrus was born in Los Angeles as the project of Aaron Carter and Stephen James Barry. After the release of the hotly tipped single "Superstar...
