Album Review
Addressing what they felt was an “ongoing war within urban culture,” Reach Records called upon the male element of hip-hop to “Man Up” and follow God’s word. Featuring Christian rappers Lecrae, Trip Lee, Sho Baraka, Tedashii, and others, this release serves as the soundtrack to Reach’s Man Up movement, which also includes a campaign, short film, curriculum, and a concert series that toured the U.S. in 2011. Since the topic remains a man’s responsibility and the challenges he must face in the modern age, it’s a testament to these artists’ talent that this message remains compelling the whole way through.
