Mantovani: The Millenium Collectionn

Nice mix of some old classics--great mood music some of my all time favorites--moon river, Cara Mia, and theme from Exodus. You won't be dissapointed

Quit your complaining

Come on you classical fans, since there is no catagory for "elevator music", "easy listening music" or "mood music", where else would you place a light string orchestra other than classical? This is beautiful, relaxing music just as many classical selections are. If it's "elevator music" so be it; it's the BEST of "elevator music".

Another Stone unturned.....

I have never heard of this Mantovani, but I do remember the haunting melody of "Charmaine". This was the backgound music to "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". Just happened to discover this song by accident. Never knew who did it, never knew the name of the song. All I know is that I recognized it the minute I heard the first few notes!!! Another stone unturned thanks to itunes. That is what I love the most about itunes is you can stumble over some awesome music quite by accident. Itunes I Love You!!

His repertoire did feature original compositions, but was built chiefly on lush adaptations of familiar melodies:...
