iTunes Review
“Maps” represents everything that’s so seductive and enticing about New York art-punks Yeah Yeah Yeahs. They build the tension and drama with a slow, methodical build and then hit the jugular with an enigmatic yet irresistible hook. Singer Karen O has a natural ability to sound both completely immersed in the moment and suspect of the potential downside, like a woman only half convinced she should give her heart away. The band is tightly controlled chaos. For further combative power, “Countdown” stirs a strong drink and the John Peel session of “Miles Away” is even louder, recalling the band’s obvious debts to PJ Harvey at her most extreme, with dashes of ‘70s punk rock pumping through the rhythmic assault.

Warning- Possible Addiction Could Result From This Song
Maps is one of those songs that is just addictive. There is nothing perticuarly incredible about Maps, but I just can't stop listening to it. The vocals, guitar, and drums are simple, but there is not one part the track that sounds displaced.
RAD!!!!!
I have always loved the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and this just made me love them more:]
Knuckle-up Zeitgeist!
The 3 cuts on this EP shout exploration, maturity and growth for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. It still contains the essential DNA of their root sound, feel, smell and flavor— but while listening— you can feel your-self going on a new ride to a new destination with Karen O, Nicolas and Brian. I can’t wait to hear the full CD when it comes out in February, but for right now, these 3 songs ejaculate the type of zeitgeist that may leave the Yo My Snizzle Boyz way behind the gaffle of no-go-flava … no diggity!
