Amazing

The one thing I regret when I listen to this live rendition of "Maps" is that I wasn't there to experience it in person. Karen O has a phenomenal stage presence, which you can get a sense of for the first two minutes of this song. After she gets through her dedications, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs get right down to business and dish out one of the best songs in their catalogue.

Soul Speaking much?

Maps is the most sophisticated track and is addictive. The song is complex and intriguing enough to play on repeat for days.

Good Ideas

Nice texture. I wish I hadn't bought the live version. They don't really get into the meat of the song until about half way through. The first half is mostly a creative introduction. If you do buy this track, listen to the timing variations that the vocalist uses on the dedications.
