Album Review
Singer and songwriter Marc Broussard's self-titled fourth album — and his second for Atlantic — moves away from his back-to-basics approach with 2008's Keep Coming Back. He and Atlantic decided to up the ante commercially here. They enlisted producer Jamie Kenney (who co-wrote and arranged the album's songs, played keyboards, and basically ran things; he is primarily known as a Contemporary Christian music producer). He understood (as did Broussard) the label's plan to launch its artist as a pop crossover talent. The album's first single, the pre-release "Only Everything," with its 21st century clash of programmed synthesizers and loops, compressed drums, and ghostly traces of old-school soul, did very well at Hot AC stations across the country. It's also indicative of the way the entire album sounds.

No "complete my album"?
I purchased the "Marc Broussard - EP" earlier this year and his website stated that that purchase allowed me to "Complete my album" once this album is released but apparently iTunes doesn't recognize the credits from my earlier purchase. Is there something I missed?

Sincerely disappointed... this sounds nothing like the thoughtful, soulful, energetic sound he used to have.
What An Album!!
It sounds to me like Marc finally found his musical happy medium, perfectly between his Louisiana blues-infused pop & his lightly-gritty funk. It's obvious that this album has been a long time coming for Marc! I can hear his true heart and soul in these songs. And I can tell that he had a lot more say with what went on to this album than his previous albums! It's great to see a true, hard working American family man succeeding in the toughest industry in the world! I am truly looking forward to listening to this album over and over for the next few months to let these beautiful songs change me for the better, like all of his previous albums have done! Thank you Marc for continuing to give me another reason to smile and want to be a better man! I can't wait to see you live again! If anybody is reading this and y'all don't own any of Marc Broussard's albums, do yourself a life-changing favor and purchase everything Marc has ever done! To put it simply, Marc was born without the ability to disappoint! If you really want to see first hand why I believe Marc deserves all the great things that continue to come to him, you must see him live!!!! Best live voice since the late great Marvin Gaye!! Initial personal standouts of this album: "Let It All Out", "Emily", & "Stay With Me"! Marc Broussard For President!!
