Amazing Blend of Rock and Worship
There is Christian music, there is Rock, there is Gospel, and then there is Jake Hamilton. His music will make you want to scream out loud, break down and weep, or simply listen in wonder. Why? Because when you listen to this album it is more than music or lyrics– it is a heart’s cry…. an anthem marked by heaven. Recorded live at Jesus Culture it is a must addition to your collection - bar none.
Truly Amazing... Anointed Artist
I was at the Jesus Culture event where this was recorded. When I first got there I was disappointed that we weren't going to be at the venue where the Jesus Culture band would be playing. But then I got to witness first hand the worship that God released thru Jake Hamilton and I was amazed and truly blessed to be a part of worshipping with him. If you are looking for passionate worship that carries the new sound of this generation, this is an album you will want to get. Truly heartfelt lyrics combined with talented music is an awesome thing. Be Blessed!!!
A New Sound In Worship
Marked by heaven is a strong testament to the production of Music that Jesus Culture is producing. Alive with a melodious guitar rifts, strong bass and drum rhythm and streaming key tones Marked by Heaven's music alone could have you buy this album. Yet, what sets this CD apart from most of its contemporaries is the chain breaking, identity giving, and God centered lyrics. With songs like Marked and The Anthem the listener can hear and feel the identity God has for a generation being instilled by a crying out for him. Other songs like Convinced, The Great I Am and Drink In Deep take the listener on a journey into knowing God in more personal level. This the first of album set the stage for a new type of worship music coming out of the Heart of Prayer and seeking God. If you want to hear the new thing God is doing in music it is found in this album.
