I've been listening to Mayer for the longest waiting for new songs from this amazing artist. Hes really inspiring
Brilliant track!
Hawthorne brings back true soul classic style. This song sounds even better live! Love the horns, drums, bass, and vocal arrangements.
High hopes
Its so easy to get lost in the everyday sounds coming from the radio that when a musical artist comes along with unique qualities and talent to back it they often get overlooked. I honestly hope that Mayer Hawthorne gets the play he deserves. This debut single is an inspiring sound and a throwback to the talent that has emerged from Michigan in the past. I cant stop listening to these tracks and anxiously await a full LP.
