Great first record!
I really liked the EP this band put out last year under the band name The Flying Tourbillon Orchestra and was excited to download a copy of this new record. It didn't disappoint. Fantastic male-female harmonies and some catchy dance tunes that remind me of the 1960s. The lyrics are smart, funny, ironic and sometimes a bit dark over mostly upbeat melodies. The second time listening through you'll find yourself singing along. Can't wait to see where this band goes!
An inspiring first (second, really) album!
It's hard to believe that this group isn't more widely known. The rhythm work is fantastic, and the melodic interplays are striking. This is a group that should make it. Some of the singing takes me back to Simon and Garfunkel. A nice effort.
