This music is hot, hot, hot!
If you think you've heard the music just from playing the game, think again. Chris Tilton's Mercenaries 2: World in Flames score provides a whole new and exciting listening experience. Tilton's superb use of percussion (e.g., "Jungle Brawl") and electric & acoustic guitars (e.g., "Freedom Fighter Free-For-All") adds a South American flair to the music that reflects the game's setting in Venezuela, while retaining the action and intensity suitable for a high-octane TPS. While the game itself may have its flaws, the musical score does not! This is one of the best scores (film and video game scores combined) that I have heard in a long time. Highly recommended!
Outstanding!
This score is phenomenal. Chris Tilton is a rising star, but I'll keep my praise of Chris Tilton's other work to minimum and focus solely on this score. If you're a fan of scores, you'll be happy with this one. There's a little something for everyone here. From the big drums of Jungle Brawl, to the heroic themes of Freedom Fighter, to the swift intensity of Bunker Busting. There's even an interesting use of guitar through some of the tracks. Definitely worth the buy.
Big, beautiful sounds
Might be TIlton's finest work yet. Deft orchestral writing, bone-shettering percussion, all with an ear for melody. Film score fans buy this now!
