A truck driver turned car salesman wrote this review!
I bought this disc in Iowa at a truck stop shortly after some 250 cd's were stollen out of my truck and I was going stir crazy. I listened to the whole thing.(I always give the artist a chance to say what they want) I love every song but Peggy O'Neil which I'm sure was put in for personal reasons. This is the perfect album for a twilight quiet time with a book (or better yet a loved one) and a cup of your favorite hot beverage. She say's tea but I say Coffee. Whether it is a cup of either in the back of a semi tractor trailer or on your back porch, her lilting lyrics will wash the days cares away. Wherever she is, I hope she is well.
Great singer / songwriter!
This is a terrific album! Nanette has a beautiful voice along with thought provoking songs that lead you away. Her style seems similar to Nanci Griffith or to Kate Wolf - down to earth stories about life and emotion. The Timber Cries, Mercy, and Behind the Glass stand out, but as a whole, the album as a hit with every song. Buy this one and you will enjoy!
